Dr Andy Mason who was a volunteer responder for SARS for over 40 years until retiring in 2014 has recently returned to medical practice. Andy has joined the team at the West Suffolk Hospital who are currently vaccinating NHS staff against COVID-19. It heralds a remarkable journey for Andy who nearly 50 years ago was a house officer at the old West Suffolk Hospital. Andy has spent his life giving back to the community and therefore it was no suprise to see him stepping forward to help combat the current pandemic. Well done Andy, you are a true SARS legend!
