SARS is an emergency medical charity that has voluntarily helped treat thousands of people over the last 50 years without charge.

We want to continue to give the best possible prehospital care to the patients we treat in their hour of greatest need. SARS receives no central government funding therefore your gift, however big or small, will make a difference to our future activity.

There are three different ways that you can leave SARS a gift in your will...

There are three different ways to leave a gift in your will (also known as a legacy or bequest): 

  • A residual legacy – all or part of what remains of your estate when all other gifts have been distributed.
  • A pecuniary legacy – a set amount of money.
  • A specific legacy – an item of value, such as a piece of art.

How do I leave a gift in my will?

If you do not have a will, making one is simple and your solicitor can help. If you need details of local solicitors please get in touch with SARS and we will help. If you already have a will and you would like to make a gift, it is a simple process to make an amendment. This is called a codicil and a solicitor can advise you on the appropriate course of action.
